It’s a good thing Chicago has two baseball teams.
Chris Sale just won the American League pitcher of the Month award this past May. His performance on May 28th, where he struck out 15 batters in seven and a third innings, earned a win for the White Sox against Tampa Bay Rays. He is now in second place for having the most strikeouts in franchise history.
Paul Konerko has sat out the last two games due to a left wrist injury that was disclosed after Tuesday night’s game. Konerko currently has a .366 batting average making him the best batter in the White Sox. Every fan wishes Konerko, team captain, a fast recovery so he can keep slamming some hits.
Philip Humber reached his peak after his perfect game back in April, but with Konerko’s injury the White Sox need him strong again. After a couple walks and a few run homers, pessimists blame Tuesday nights loss on Humber. In the last 13 starts, Humber has an 0-6 record and a 5.72 era.
The Chicago White Sox continuing playing the Toronto Blue Jays this evening at 7:10 p.m. Tickets still available.
